Effect of government experience on education and health: Implications on economic growth of Nigeria 1981-2021

This study analyzed government expenditure and economic growth of Nigeria for the period 1981-2021. Government was proxied with on education, health, social community services while total investment net foreign trade were included as intervening variables. Economic gross domestic product. The data using econometric procedures particularly Auto regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. results showed that in short run, health exerted positive relationship GDP which not significant education significantly negative effect economy. long run analysis revealed had GDP. effects but concluded have been appropriately channeled towards sector despite amount spent recurrent capital expenditures to whereas increased economy significantly. It recommended should increase budget allocations also encourage private stake holders invest well engaging partnership funding sector.
